ISMNECLRDUR...The 11 organ systems of the human body

Okay...since I am EXTREMELY stressed about my upcoming A&P exam...Jenny has suggested I make an anagram and song for what seems to be my biggest weakness: The 11 organ systems of the human body.

So here we go...and please, feel free to ignore this if anatomy and anatomy wording makes you uncomfortable.

ISMNECLRDUR= Integumentary, Skeletal, Muscular, Nervous, Endocrine, Cardiovascular, Lymphatic, Respiratory, Digestive, Urinary, Reproductive.

Thanks to Jenny (Goddess of Word Patterns), this translates into the phrase= Is Mine Clear During? Exactly what's clear and when isn't certain, but that's not my problem. Talk to Miss Mind-in-the-Gutter (aka Goddess of Word Patterns).

If I just needed to know the 11 systems, I'd be okay. But no, A&P appears to be a subtle form of mind torture. They want us to think like DOCTORS. So I also get to know the COMPONENTS of each system. Fun!

I=skin, epidermis, dermis
S= bone, cartilege, ligaments, red bone marrow
M= skeletal muscles, tendons, smooth muscle, cardiac muscle
N=brain, spinal cord, cranial & spinal nerves, sensory receptors
E= endocrine glands parathyroid, pituitory, thyroid, adrenal, pancreas, pineal, ovaries, testes
C=heart, arteries, veins, capillaries, spleen, blood
L=lymphoid tissues, lymphatic vessels, lymph, lymphnodes
R=nasal cavity, nasophargynx, larnyx, trachea, bronchi, lungs
D=mouth, pharynx esophogus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, salivary glands, liver, pancreas
U=kidneys, uterus, urinary bladder, uretha
R=testes, scrotum, vasa deferentia, uretha, accessory glands, penis, ovaries, uterine tubes, uterus, vagina.

I can't think of a song that would work...so we're back to cold memorization.
